Annual 4th of July Parade & Picnic, Sponsored by South Norfolk Civic League

Who doesn’t love a parade? Team Huddle sure does. I was honored to ride in the annual 4th of July Parade sponsored by the South Norfolk Civic League as a candidate for the Chesapeake School Board.
This classic 2001 Corvette is owned and operated by Charlie Peters, a member of SMART Local Union #100 International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail, and Transportation Workers. Charlie is a retired sheet metal worker and has been an active union organizer for the last 21 years. He drove from Delaware with his lovely wife Lois to support a union sister. Thank you, Charlie!
Several campaign team members joined me at the parade and in Lakeside Park for the picnic afterward. Annette, Leslie, and Eileen found time to grab a photo with Delegate Cliff Hayes and my running mate, Dr. Shirley Auguste. Thank you, ladies. You looked fabulous in those shirts.
If you’d like to see the full parade, head over to the South Norfolk Civic League’s Facebook page to see tons of photos and videos. You can also tune in to Channel 42. They will show the parade a few times.
Thank you South Norfolk Civic League for a wonderful day celebrating our nation’s birthday and enjoying friends, family, fellowship, and food. You throw a great party!
